BELLARINE COMMUNITY FARMERS MARKET
|Telephone:||0418 141 208|
The Bellarine Community Farmers’ Market was created based on my lifes’ passions, those being food, family & friends, community and the environment. I was fortunate enough to grow up as ‘free-range kid’ in a close-knit, small country town, surrounded by orchards, farms, backyards full of home-grown produce, chooks, milking cows and a social, family life based around the kitchen & meal times together. The BCFs’Market embraces this relaxed country appeal, where locals know the growers and combine food shopping with a family outing together. As a 'produce only' market set in a large, open park in the heart of town, the main aim is to bring together local farmers, growers and producers from the smallest backyard to the biggest business, to provide fresh food and produce direct to the public, in one convenient location. This activity benefits all members of the local community involved, due to the associated health and environmental benefits of consuming locally grown produce, reducing the food kilometres and profits being kept directly within the community.
