About
St Kilda Esplanade Market is a local makers market, established in Dec 1970, to attract stallholders who were not just locals, but artists and makers from all over. The Market has always been a starting platform for new artists to begin their careers and in some cases is so loved by stallholders that they have stayed on for as long as the full forty plus years it has been running. Adam Elliot, Academy Award winning animator and director of Harvey Krumpet, sold his hand painted t-shirts at the market for five years! You can’t miss us- you will see our tents lined up along the Upper Esplanade.
We are right beside Luna Park, located between Fitzroy St and Acland St.
Getting here is an easy 15 minute ride from the city on tram 16 or 96 and there is plenty of parking near by.
